For the last three days, I have had pain and pressure in my ear. My head is so sore, it hurts to touch my hair. So I go to him tonight and tell him my symptoms. He gives me arthritis medication. Am I the only one that sees something wrong with this picture?
Are doctors really that afraid to give you anitbiotics for an ear or sinus infection that they would rather just manage you pain instead?
I’m 28. I woke up this morning and my hands were hurting badly. Just the inside like the joints and muscles in them. They’re still hurting a bit. I took ibuprofen this morning, but it’s still there. My mom has had arthritis for a very long time. I was wondering if it’s possible that I could be developing arthritis as well? Is 28 too young to be showing signs of this? I also have a job where I am typing all day long, so could it be carpal tunnel instead?
I am six months into initial treatment for rhuematoid arthritis. I finally received long term disability, but now I am being reevaluated. The issue now is not whether I am able to perform my previous job, but whether I can perform any job. The insurance provider says they will attempt to find another job with my employer. My question is what if another job is not available, will I be disqualified for continuing to receive LTD payments. Does anyone have experience in this area?
While I appreciate your experience with the disease, I’m sure you appreciate that RA affects everyone differently. That being said, allow me to reiterate I was recently diagnosed. Thus, the treatment plan I have chosen is new and my doctors have advised I will not receive full benefit right away. My ultimate goal is to complete law school and return to SOME position. I cannot however, physically comlete minimal tasks at this stage in treatment. I will one day be able to fully cope with the disease as you have, but in the mean time I need to receive adequate benefits (that I have paid into through insurance premiums) to pay for the expensive medication, i.e. Remicade infusion co-pay is approx. $789 every six weeks. This does not account for the additional 6 medications that I am currently on that cost about $145 per month. Therefore, my initial questions was not an attempt to avoid work all together, but rather a way to receive the treatment I need so I can determine my career ob
My dog got hit by a car. I wanted to know if the glucosamine would help prevent arthritis. He broke his pelvic bone and his femur bone. Does the human supplement and dog supplement have the same ingredients?
My dog Smokey is 10 years old and had been eating ole roy for a long time. It was cheap for my parents to buy. He recently started limping really bad and I found out that he was arthritis in his left elbow. My vet gave me some tablets and we tried those but they didn’t help. So my dads gf got him some liquid medicine called finish line. I started doing research and found out about all the stuff he should have in his diet. So I have been giving him Chicken Soup for the Dog lovers soul (senior dog formula) I mix his finish line(2 table spoons) with the canned chicken soup with the dried chicken soup in the mornings. I wanted him to have more Glucosamine and Chondroitin. He really likes the dog food with the canned, but wont eat much of it when it just plan dry. He hasn’t been on it long, but he does have Diarrhea. Is is because of the switch of food. I did mix the chicken soup with ole roy so it wouldn’t be a total switch. Has anyones dogs benefited from Chicken soup? I want his elbow to get better. Please any advice or personal experience??
I just switched not even a week ago. Also i didnt switch gradually witch wasnt good i guess. I just poured the left over old into the new bag.
He is being treated for arthritis with a muscle relaxer and a pain med but his uncontrolable shaking continues. His personality is totally altered He goes for hours without laying down, just standing and looking at us shaking. We have had him to the vet twice within the past week for both the painful joints that made him yelp when petted and yesterday because for several days he has favored a left front leg. As I said his routine is WAY out of wack. His ears are back, and he has what seems to be uncontrollable shaking, that we thought was due to pain but now we are starting to be very concerned.
He is on small doses of methancarbonal a muscle relaxant and Tramadol a pain reliever. Has anyone experienced these symptoms in their pet
They hurt when I move them and the knuckles feel stiff and look swollen. One worse than the other. My other fingers are fine. And if it is arthiritis, is there anything I can do stop the knuckles from enlarging? I really don’t want to end up with disfigured looking knuckles if I can prevent it. Thanks for any advice you can offer.
My guy has two bulging disk in his back and a healed fracture vertabrae. Also some arthritis. We are looking at treatment options and could use feed back on peoples personal experience. He has limited health insurance so we are trying to get the best options. Clinical trials might also be a option so send us your info.

He is a 17 yr old Lhasa Apso. He has arthritis in his legs, but it does not limit him from going up and down our stairs at his own whims. How do I deal with the loss of balance spells?
Please don’t recommend the vet. We only have one and he has no idea.having the dog put down is not an option either.
