I have a 9 year old chow who was diagnosed with IBD a little over a year ago so he has a limited ingredient food now. A little while after he began to limp after getting up from resting or after moving around for a while. My vet told me to treat him with Missing Link Plus for his arthritis. It seemed to have a good affect but in turn he lost his appetite and began every once in a while throwing up his food like when he was first diagnosed with IBD. I began giving him that treatment less often because of that.

I do not have the money to take him to physical therapy for the arthritis but I know he needs to rest it, be as pain free as possible, and then exercise it to strengthen the muscles around the joint, keeping pressure off of it.

My question is how do I accomplish this? Should I use herbal supplements until he isn’t limping as much, then in the mornings before he begins to limp take him out on walks and then bring him home to rest? Or is there a problem with that schedule, being too much stress on the leg?

Thank you

About two weeks ago, on the drive home from the Rennaisance Festival my neck stiffened up severely and i developed a horrible headache. Ever since then, I have had neck stiffness and pain. I also am having pain/stiffness in my hips and sometimes my ankles, knees and wrists. One day it even effected my upper rib cage and shoulders. I have been taking 4 ibuprofen a couple of times each day to be able to function. It seems the more i move around the less the pain gets, except in my neck – as soon as the drugs wear off it is hurting and stiff. I am the most stiff and in pain in the mornings. I actually got to sleep for an extreme amount of time the other day and my symptoms seemed to subside, until the next day when life was back to normal. My main concern is my neck, which hurts to turn to either side or to look down (try to touch my chin to chest). it seems most of my symptoms point to rheumatiod arthritis, except i haven’t seen much mention of the neck, and that is the main source of pain and discomfort. PLEASE HELP!!

i recently discovered i have low muscle tone and juvenile arthritis. due to a syndrome i that i have
the syndrome is called velocardio facial syndrome thank god that the only things i have from i got my self check out and my heart is healthy and my kidneys and everything else is ok even my iq is normal…… the only reason i learn i had it was cause i always complained about my hand and back .there were time i could not even get out of the bed. after so many test a doctor said i should have a fish test and there you my cause of my stress was found ,…… my issue is i can work fine and i dont really care for the measly 800 you get a months but what i really want is the medicaid just something does happen in the future even though the doctor said to me everything else with me is fina i just wanna be safe about for me and my children.. so do i have a chance of getting approved or is just not good enough to recieve benefits ???

i had it its velocardiofacial … thank god i only have these issues … associated with it…
i already had a full check up and i am healthy from my heart and everything

You know water therapy? For dogs with arthritis or just out of surgery.
How do you become a dog therapist? Being a vet tech or assistant? Or do you need to specialize in it?
Thanks for any help!

Because from my experience at least (I lived in the southern US for a while so of course this won’t apply to everyone…), Christian children are raised (for the most part) hearing “X is true” or “Y is false” in relation to religion (and especially in the case of “fundies” in relation to certain sciences). Not to pick on Christians, but I feel that if Christianity was such a great thing, then the child would make that decision on their own.

So to me personally, it seems more important to teach a child to remain skeptical of what they are told, especially in this day and age when Nigerian royalty has favors to ask of you, infomercials claim you can lose 100 lbs in 2 weeks, and everyone thinks you would be better off following THEIR religion or using THEIR magical amulets that cure arthritis.

Alright so I am 18 and I weigh 160 lbs. I’m not fat but I definitely want to lose weight. It’s hard for me to excersize because I have rhuematoid arthritis in every joint.. its not hurting me in every join because of my meds but my right ankle and wrists are pretty bad which makes it hard to run or do push-ups. Also I am a picky eater so I have to choose the right diet.. I dont like salads n stuff like that. Is there anyway to lose this weight? I’d like to lose about 20 lbs.. it’d be nice to lose a bunch now because my sisters wedding is on Aug 19 and I start college Aug 21. Let me know….thanks guys.
if it matters… im 5′6″
